SuperSport United was knocked out of MTN8 quarter finals by Golden Arrows, today they revenged the knockout by defeating Arrows 3-1 in DSTV Premiership match. Matsatsantsa went into this game following a goalless draw against Cape Town City FC last weekend.

“We are playing a team that is high in confidence after knocking us out of the Cup competition and they won their first league match. They play some good football but I believe we have a good team to go out there and compete and get a positive result and we are also playing at home,” said the head coach Kaitano Tembo prior the game.

This home win for Matsatsantsa against Arrows is a good give back to their loyal supporters, goals from Tebogo Mokoena, Sipho Mbule and Thamsanqa Gabuza helped Matsatsantsa to defeat Arrows. SuperSport conceded a penalty in the last minute after Siyabonga Nhlapo brought down Pule Mmodi inside the box, which allowed Siphamandla Sabelo to bag the consolation goal for Arrows.
