It was an exciting battle yesterday between PSG and Manchester City, where both teams were looking for three points. PSG hosted Manchester City in matchday 2 of the UEFA champions league group stages.
The game started very slow with both teams trying to understand their tactics, but it slowly opened up with Manchester City starting to control the ball better. For most time of the match PSG were deffending and relying on counter attacks to try and break Manchester City.
Although PSG were mostly defending when they went forward they looked sharp and dangerous. Idrissa Gueye scored first in the game to give PSG an early lead at 8 minutes after kick-off. Manchester City had few chances to score also in the first half, they hit the bar twice failing to convert their chances.
After the half time Manchester City came out strong controlling the game but still failed to break the PSG defenders, PSG had numbers in the back and relied on counter attacks. Lionel Messi scored his first goal for PSG in style after receiving a pass from Verrati on his on half, and ran with the ball through to the 18 area where he passed Mbappe who returned the ball and Messi hit the shot from range and scored.
PSG won the match 2-0, getting their revenge on Manchester City.
