Ethiopia played against South Africa yesterday, it was an important match for the two nations as the fight for a trip to Qatar in 2022 continues.
Ethiopia had the home ground advantage but it did not stop Bafana Bafana to give their all. Tebogo Mokoena gave South Africa a lead just before half time with a well striked free kick. On the second half, Ethiopia continued to look for an equaliser and finally manage to get it through Getaneh Kebede.
Hugo Broos side had no intentions of losing the match, as they continued to fight for their country. Mothobi Mvala put South Africa on a 2-1 lead just after the equaliser at 71 minutes. A goal from Evidence Makgopa at added minutes sealed all points for Bafana Bafana, and kept all the hopes of finishing on top of Group G.
Ethiopia will be looking for revenge when they play against Bafana Bafana at South Africa on the 12th of October. Bafana Bafana now claimed two wins in a row at Group G, will they get a third win on Tuesday?
